Highlights of Tubular Heater
- Tubular heaters are often used for heating air, liquids, gases and solid body.
- Tubular heating element are capable of using three different way to heat: conduction heating, convection heating and radiant heating.
- It is the most versatile heating appliance among all electric heating elements.
- Tubular heater consists of helical resistance wire and metal sheath. The wire is often made of nickel and chromium.
- The alloy resistance wire is centered in the metal sheath, which is filled with Magnesium Oxide Power (MgO).
- The MgO powder has a very good dielectric strength and provide uniform heat from the coil to surface of metal sheath.
- Annealing is necessary to make the tubular metal soft and able to be bent into virtually any shape.
